Our Eco Committee meets once a month and comprises a representative from each class and some members of the staff and governors. At the beginning of September we carried out an environmental audit of the school. Our main focus last term was to encourage water awareness. There was a class assembly on saving water and posters were designed by the children. The best posters were selected by the committee and have been put around the school. This term we are looking at litter and saving energy. Each class will have litter monitors who will be responsible for keeping our school tidy. We will be teaching our classes about how important it is to turn off lights and computers in our school and at our home.
